Ben's Funeral
Today we gathered at The Anglican Parish of St John's church Toorak, to commemorate the life of Ben Robert Stevenson (26 April 1979 - 9 October 2005).
It was a beautiful service and memorable to express such a fulfulling life of Ben. We pray for Ben's family and friends, whose sense of loss is so keen. We cannot understand the things that happen, and are weighed down by grief and loneliness. However, we have come together to give thanks to God for the life of Ben Robert Stevenson, to mourn and to honour him, to celebrate his life, and to support one another in grief.
The body of our friend Ben will be cremated, earth to earth, ashes to ashes, dust to dust, in the name of our Lord Jesus Chris. We leave Ben in God's care and we continue life's journey.
Ben, go in peace in the name of Christ. Amen.
