You might be wondering where have I been all these times? Lets just say, there are things that best kept as a secret than spilling the bean in this blog where millions of people can potentially read it!
Nothing much happening to me (and Deddy) except we’ve been back from a month holiday in Indo (precisely in Jakarta, Bali, Lombok, Bandung and Banyuwangi). I know what you’re thinking……why didn’t I meet up with my fellow bloggers? Well, let’s just say it was entirely my fault. We (sorry), I was a bit of a slack, lack of planning and of course there wasn’t enough time!
We had an amazing time in Lombok. Stayed at the Sheraton (courtesy of our insider friend who works for the starwood group – my big thank yous for him) and we enjoyed every minute of it. Check out the pool, you’d be silly to even think of going outside the resort.
We met our two nieces and a nephew (from Deddy’s side) for the first time in Bali and Banyuwangi. The girls are adorable and cute. Just look at their photos, do you see any resemblance with Deddy? Oh yes, about our new nephew, he’s only 1 month old and I will post his photo when he’s a bit older.
Bali was okay, nothing’s changed since the last time we came, except everything seems to be damn expensive. On average, you’d expect to spend nearly $8 for a decent meal in a proper restaurant/café, not to mention the drinks cost nearly as much as the meal.
The worst is Jakarta. One night we caught up with a bunch of old friends in one of Jakarta’s trendy club (I won’t name the place here). My dear hubby ordered a tiny glass of double bourbon with coke. This would have cost around $8 back in oz and the damn drink costed Rp.150.000 or approx. $18. This is bloody rip off ! Imagine how much money they make every night they open!
All right then, that sums up our 4 weeks holiday. I won’t write every single detail of our days in Indo. Although We had a good time being away from home, I’d rather sleep in my own bed than moving around from one strange bed to another.
